This ministry provides a unique experience through awareness pilgrimages to the Holy Land. The Reverend Branwen L. Cook, our previous pastor, and a member of our congregation went to Palestine & Israel with this ministry. Both of them highly recommend this pilgrimage to all those interested in 'walking in the footsteps of Jesus both literally and figuratively'. Take this life-changing journey and become aware of the Holy Land and those who live there - visit their website to find out more.

Living Waters of the World
www.livingwatersfortheworld.org
The Presbytery Synod has a mission initiative called Living Waters for the World. The organization trains and equips mission teams from churches and civic organizations to share the gift of clean, sustainable water with communities in need. To date, they have trained and equipped teams in 29 states and 8 other countries, resulting in the deployment of 135 clean water systems in 17 countries. As more volunteers are trained, more clean water flows, and more lives are transformed among all involved. The synod has put out a public service announcement for this organization.

Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land
www.elcjhl.org
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL) is known for its friendliness as it welcomes visitors and pilgrims to the Holy Land from throughout the world. Though Palestinian Christians have been here since the first Pentecost, the roots of the ELCHJHL began in the mid 19th century when German and English missionaries came to teach and minister to the local people. Five of our six congregations are in Jerusalem, Ramallah and the Bethlehem area, and one is in Amman, Jordan. The chuches in Amman and Ramallah are made up largely of families of refugees who fled their homes at the time of the tragic wars that followed the formation of Israel. We also operate four schools and four additional education programs. We are 'working for justice, praying for peace, and living in hope'.
